The Petsguide Privacy policy is a public document, established in accordance with the National Privacy Policy.
1. Petsguide Collects:-
Personal information only where necessary to enable Petsguide to perform its functions.
1.1 Primary Information
Primary information to enable us to confidently post an advertisement on your behalf and to enable Petsguide to offer the most suitable service for you. This information is also required to establish and use a valid account:-
Name, email ,state, suburb, postcode.
Provision of this information is not required by law but we will encounter difficulties in delivering a service if this information is not provided.
1.2 Secondary information
Secondary information is provided by you at your discretion. This information enables us to better plan Petsguide, understand users and how to improve the service. We will also use Secondary information to assist in your identification (eg., your loss of account details) should Primary information be insufficient. Petsguide will collect or acquire information only when the individual has been identified.
Secondary information includes:-
Address, Home Ph, Mobile Ph, Business, Business Ph, Date of Birth, Breeder/Club Affiliation
2. Petsguide’s Use of Primary, secondary and user-posted information
Petsguide will occasionally use your personal information to contact you via email for marketing purposes should we feel suit to notify you of promotional offers occasionally.
Petsguide will also use your information to send you newsletters to which you have subscribed.
2.1 Classified Advertisers
Your information is held in a confidential, secure database. Information you provide will be published in your advertisement and is only accessible by you or Petsguide staff.
Petsguide will keep all information you post in your advert on its database.
2.2 Visitors
If you submit an email request to a classified advertiser, information contained within that email may be sited by Petsguide.
We advise to opt out of this service if you do not want your personal information to be reviewed and forwarded.
2.3 E-Newsletter
If you indicated to receive a Petsguide newsletter when you signed up, then you will receive a regular newsletter, via email. Should you wish to remove your name from the mailing list, please do so by indicating so on the newsletter check box or by emailing us via the website feedback form.
2.4 Email a Friend
Should you choose to email a particular advert to a friend, all details in that advertisement will be forwarded to the supplied email address.
3. Statistical Collection
When you visit Petsguide, we automatically collect the following information relating to your internet/browser connection.

Time spent on the website
Under no circumstances (unless required by law enforcement) will Petsguide attempt to identify users through their browsing activities.

If you are a registered user with Petsguide, you can request access to all of your information stored on our database. Please email us and request your information. Please allow 5 working days for delivery.
